EPD150-MAX WiFi DryFan Desiccant Dehumidifier for Home and Semi-Industrial Drying Applications

This desiccant dehumidifier is designed for efficient home drying, with a maximum water extraction capacity of 74 pints (35 liters). It now includes a WiFi-enabled humidistat and data logger, along with an exhaust hose and 125mm (5″) ducting flanges for integration into air systems. It’s ideal for keeping homes dry, protecting outbuildings, and caring for boats. Unlike typical dehumidifiers, this model is built to run 24/7 unattended, making it perfect for situations requiring constant drying without producing condensate—such as in freezing conditions or where bacteria might be a concern. It continues to perform where refrigerant units struggle, especially above 35°C (95°F). The unit can also be discreetly ducted out of sight to save floor space and operates quietly.

Upgraded Nov ’24 with EPHUM-I-MAX WiFi Humidistat, Controller and Data Logger

Condensate-Free Operation: Unlike traditional refrigerant dehumidifiers, this desiccant dehumidifier eliminates condensate water production. As a result, it proves beneficial in applications where water removal is not desired, such as in freezing conditions.

Moisture Venting: Moisture is vented away from the machine, eliminating the need for collecting or disposing of condensate water.

DRYFAN® means it can operate in any orientation, even upside down

  • Voltage Options: Available in both 110V/60Hz (North American) and 220V/50Hz (Rest of World – RoW) versions, this unit features interchangeable plugs using the patented Ecor Pro plug system for added versatility.

  • Auto Power Reset: The dehumidifier includes an auto power reset function. In the event of a power interruption, it will automatically reset to its previous settings. Alternatively, with WiFi control enabled, users will receive a notification on their phone when the power is interrupted.

  • Continuous Fan Option: This feature allows for continuous air circulation. Without any connections, the unit automatically enters continuous drying mode. When the EPHUM-I-MAX is connected, selecting the continuous fan button will ensure that the fan circulates air continuously, even if the controller halts the drying function. (Note: The dehumidifier button takes priority over App control.)

  • Humidistat Included: The dehumidifier comes with a high-temperature humidistat, capable of working up to 65°C / 150°F without risk of heat damage. The EPHUM-I-MAX humidistat includes a bi-color indicator (green and blue) to show operational status, along with a dimmable backlight for the Ecor Pro logo.

  • Installation Options: Designed for versatility, the dehumidifier features four plastic feet that swivel out to provide anchor points for wall or ceiling mounting, even in upside-down positions.

  • IP24 Rating: Rated IP24, this dehumidifier is resistant to water splashes from various directions, offering durability in different environments.

  • Compact Design: The dehumidifier’s compact, stackable design includes a carrying handle for easy portability. Built with durable, all-metal materials, including a stainless-steel marine-grade cover, it ensures long-lasting performance. See drawing here.

  • Temperature Range: Operating effectively from -4°F/-20°C to 104°F/40°C, this dehumidifier is ideal for continuous drying applications in a wide range of temperatures.

  • WiFi Control and Monitoring Ready: Add the WiFi-enabled EPHUM-I-MAX monitor and controller (sold separately) to enable remote monitoring and control.

  • Auto Rest: In the event of a power outage, the unit will automatically reset if no humidity controller is installed. The EPHUM-I-MAX will send a notification to your phone when the power is restored, keeping you informed.

  • Serial Port: The RJ11 connection detects the presence of a humidistat. It also serves as a serial connection for cloud software interfaces (sold separately).

  • Fan Capacity: Equipped with a continuous fan option, the dehumidifier has a single-speed fan with a clean dry air volume capacity of 224 CFM / 380m³/h. It operates at a noise level of 56dB, ensuring efficient air circulation.

  • Filter: The unit comes with a reticulated 10 PPI easy-to-clean dust filter, which helps maintain air quality and prevents debris buildup. Clean the filter every 90 days. A replacement pack of three filters (EPFILPACK4) is available. Optional filters like the EPCARFIL30 (which filters odors) can also be used, though both are sold separately.

  • Continuous Fan Option: This feature allows the fan to operate continuously, circulating air. It’s particularly ideal when the unit is ducted, as the sensor can be placed inside the inlet duct. This makes the unit easy to conceal when installed. (Be sure to externalize the filter on the process air inlet grill to simplify filter cleaning.)

  • Exhaust Duct: An industrial-grade exhaust duct is included, measuring 1m / 3′ in length, for efficient venting.

Exhaust Wet Air 75m3/h / 44cfm
Dry Air volume 380m3/h / 224 cfm.
Process Air volume 455m3/h / 268 cfm

Power Cord: Very fast replacement of power cord for use in different markets, connection to generators or replacement if damaged with Ecor Pro patented design.  15’/5m cord lengths.

OPTIONAL DUCTING (Not Included)

Additional Accessories: Addional flange sets can be added to the input air flow on the unit.  This flange gives the ability for 125mm/5″ or 90mm/3″ tubular ducting to be added to the dehumidifier to duct in wet air and dut out dry air.   EPDF125 125mm/3.5″ ducting flange or EPDF90 90mm/3″

How to set up a drying tent

Dehumidifier Installation

This is a 3-Hole dehumidifier meaning that there is one  fan inside.  Part of the dried process air is turned around, heated and used to purge the internal adsorption wheel of moisture that can be then vented away.

Moisture is "vented away".  No water is produced.  The moist air is vented to the outside or moved to another area that is ventilated. Most common installation.

Focussing the dry air gives faster drying times.  Example of "Positive Pressure" or forcing the dry air into areas it is needed
Recirculating the air to be dried gives a compound effect and gives faster drying.  This system is a "Negative Pressure" system.   Air has to replace the air that has been exhausted with the wet air.

15% of the air that is processed is expelled as wet air.  This air needs to be replaced.  Air from outside the room may be more humid.  This is averted with a larger model.

Having the machine in the area being dried and recirculating the air is the most efficient way of drying.  This system is "Negative Pressure. In a small enclosure, covered with plastic sheeting a frame is needed to ensure the tent maintains structure.  Rooms generally are not air tight so in larger rooms air can leak under doors etc

3-hole systems have one advantage over 4-Hole systems.  Around 60 Watts of energy will be retained in the process air flow with a 4-Hole system.  Normally this is not a problem (Same energy as an old home light bulb) but if it is a variable air valve may be added to balance the system with regen air.

This assumes that the air from any variable inlet (variable in order to find balance of air flow) is colder than the air inside the room being dried.   Typical applications will include  buildings where heat generated by people is not covered fully by any air conditioning.
