EPD150 DryFan 150 Pt Desiccant Dehumidifier

120V supply 60 Hz that can be run off a 12V DC-110V AC converters , auto power reset in case of power supply interruption. “3-hole” technology commercial desiccant dehumidifier; water removal (at 80?F / 60% RH – AHAM) – 53 pints/day (25 liters); 74 pints/day (34 liters) maximum extraction. Operating range from -4?F up 104?F maximum room temperature for continuous drying applications, with 267 CFM air volume capacity (223 CFM – exhaust / 44 CFM – regen air flow). Highly efficient, very quiet fan operation (56dB) and yet low energy consumption in use for large moisture extraction capacity. Desiccant Rotor is the heart of the EPD150 dehumidifier. It is an array of specially absorbent membranes arranged as a series of corrugations to give a vast surface area making it an extremely efficient moisture collector. It is encased in a galvanized steel ring and turns on high quality sealed ball bearing units. Uses a ceramic PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) type regen heater, which means the heating element can never overheat to hazardous temperaturs, even if the regen airflow is completely blocked. Uses patented “RadiCal” backward curved fan unit, highly efficient yet quiet system, designed to give a good balance of both “Process” and “Regen” airflows Compact and smallest desiccant dehumidifier in its class, can be easily transported without the fear of water leaks after residual water in the tank; all metal construction inside and outside designed for longevity; removable carrying handle for easy transport and mobility; and anti-scratch four plastic feet that can be swivelled out to make four anchor points so that the unit can be mounted with suitable screws to walls/ceilings or simply fastened down onto a surface; IPX1 rating which means the unit can still operate even in more damp conditons. Equally robust controls can be linked to an optional remote humidistat or switched over to manual control with on/off switch. Built-in analogue amp meter that can review performance and measure energy consumption; an hour meter that measures the number of hours the machine is in operation – an ideal feature for the rental industry. Wet air-out ducted with 3.15 inch diameter ducting – OPTIONAL; Damp air-in / dry air-out can be ducted with 5″ inch diameter ducting – optional. 56dB Process air in 5″ – Process air out 5″ – Exhaust air 3″

How to set up a drying tent

NO WATER PRODUCED. MOISTURE IS VENTED AWAY. EVEN UPWARDS.

Ideal Flood Or Home Dryer. Restoration Safe.

74 Pint Desiccant Dehumidifier 110V / 60Hz.

Equivalent to a 150 Pint Compressor Dehumidifier @65°F.

Free Standing or Installed.

Industrial dehumidifier EPD150 steel construction with tough epoxy paint finish.Very small for its 74 pint capacity. Will dry 247 and dry even down to -20°C/-4°F. Can work up to 40°C/104°F.

Steel Inside & OutTough Enough Even for Hiring or Restoration

Can be carried by one person and transported easily with the carrying handles.Self regulating energy usage that adapts to air pressure differences using always the right amount of power to dry effectively

3 Hole Dehumidifier

Input process air is dust filtered & dried. Input air can be ducted in & out with a 125mm / 5″ duct. Wet air exhaust is 80mm / 3″ duct

Thus, Ecor Pro’s research shows that the EPD150 will be four to seven times faster at drying buildings at low temperatures than a traditional compressor dehumidifiers

Parts Associated

Features Explained

Highly Compact – Small 74 pint dehumidifier in the market.

Dust Filter – The desiccant industrial dehumidifier benefits from a simple reticulated dust filter in metal frame that can be shaken clean or easily replaced to prevent dust particles entering the unit and impeding performance.

Easy Repair – Maintenance and eventual repair have been thought through with an easy to remove cover that gives easy access to replace cord sets or warn parts by a qualified persons quickly. Prolonging the lifetime of the EPD-150 dehumidifier. Cord sets can be replaced in around 20 minutes

On Four Feet – Anti scratch plastic feet.

Carrying Handle – Easy to carry by one person. Hence, the handles also protect the dehumidifier duct flanges if in transit.

Humidistat Connection – There is no integral humidistat but one can be added very simply. A military standard connector is on the front of the unit. To add this use the remote humidistat EPHUM220. This will turn the dehumidifier on an off automatically.

Duct Air-In & Out – The dehumidifier has all ducts fitted with flanges to allow ducting to be added with 125mm / 5″ hard or flexible ducting.

Perfect for any climate.

Wet Air Exhaust – Hence, EPD-150 has one internal fan compared to two in the EPD200. Both do not produce water. Furthermore, moisture is vented away, thus works in colder temperatures. Moisture is purged from the system by 15% of the process air – dries with slight negative pressure.

“Three Hole System” –  One inlet and two outlets. Hole system can be used as a four hole industrial dehumidifier via duct configuration. Needs accurate duct flow measurement. Should this is a concern, the EPD200 is an easier alternative.

Power Supply – 110V supply 60Hz

Auto Reset – Hence, if there is an interruption to the power supply, the EPD-150 will continue to operate as soon as the power has been returned. Perfect in locations where the there is a “dirty” power supply that can affect other electronically controlled products.

All Metal Construction – All metal with epoxy paint finish heat treated for strength inside & outside. Designed for longevity.

5m / 15′ Power Cord – no need to join cables when placed for instance in crawl spaces or lofts in the home for example.

Dehumidifier Installation

This is a 3-Hole dehumidifier meaning that there is one  fan inside.  Part of the dried process air is turned around, heated and used to purge the internal adsorption wheel of moisture that can be then vented away.

Moisture is "vented away".  No water is produced.  The moist air is vented to the outside or moved to another area that is ventilated. Most common installation.

Focussing the dry air gives faster drying times.  Example of "Positive Pressure" or forcing the dry air into areas it is needed
Recirculating the air to be dried gives a compound effect and gives faster drying.  This system is a "Negative Pressure" system.   Air has to replace the air that has been exhausted with the wet air.

15% of the air that is processed is expelled as wet air.  This air needs to be replaced.  Air from outside the room may be more humid.  This is averted with a larger model.

Having the machine in the area being dried and recirculating the air is the most efficient way of drying.  This system is "Negative Pressure. In a small enclosure, covered with plastic sheeting a frame is needed to ensure the tent maintains structure.  Rooms generally are not air tight so in larger rooms air can leak under doors etc

3-hole systems have one advantage over 4-Hole systems.  Around 60 Watts of energy will be retained in the process air flow with a 4-Hole system.  Normally this is not a problem (Same energy as an old home light bulb) but if it is a variable air valve may be added to balance the system with regen air.

This assumes that the air from any variable inlet (variable in order to find balance of air flow) is colder than the air inside the room being dried.   Typical applications will include  buildings where heat generated by people is not covered fully by any air conditioning.
