Desiccant Dehumidifier

DryFan Technology

There is no compressor in a DryFan desiccant dehumidifier.  It just has a rotating wheel with a large surface area for air to pass through it side-to-side.  The surface is impregnated with “Zeolite”. Zeolite is a patented chemical that has the property of absorbing moisture in most temperatures but gives up that moisture when heat is applied.  Therefore, if we continuously dry part of the wheel & turn it continuously, most of the wheel is always free to absorb moisture.

The small section of the wheel that is purged of moisture uses hot air & sometimes around 15% of the dried air is turned around, heated and use to purge the moisture.

Moisture can then be exhausted away to the outside as vapour not condensate.

drys 5 times faster with dehumidifiers by Ecor Pro

Below 20°C / 68°F desiccant can work 5 times better than compressor dehumidifiers

frost on dehumidifiers by Ecor Pro

Desiccants work even below 4°C / 36°F when compressor dehumidifiers stop

Not risk of secondary flooding from water containers with desiccants

Desiccants are ideal for floods & restoration where there is often no heating

ice on dehumidifiers by Ecor Pro

Desiccants don’t produce water only vapour so not affected by ice or frost

Compressor dehumidifiers perform best in relatively warm temperaturs.

Drying time for flooded areas often faster with desiccants especially if unheated
