An estimate by the World Allergy Organisation (WAO) regarding allergy prevalence of the whole population by country, ranges between 10 – 40% (Pawankar R, et al, 2013).
Within Europe alone, 150 million or more Europeans suffer from chronic allergic diseases (EAACI, 2016).
By 2025 in current predictions, half of the entire EU population will be affected by allergies (EAACI, 2016).
Symptoms usually are mild, be it watery eyes, stuffy noses, sneezing and wheezing. Prolonged symptoms of this can have an affect on other parts of our lives, such as sleep deprivation.
